… but right at the sodding end? Sorry! Language.
We cruised the charity shops this week to see what we can change into something and I got lucky. I picked up a cute little top and then found a blanked in the same shop thinking that these colours would work well together. I knew straight away that I wanted to make some pillow covers for our daughter as the blanked is sooooooo soft.

As a matter of fact the blanket is so soft that I had to fight with myself not to keep it and also caught our son wrapped up in it. NO! I have got plans so we have to be strong.
I measured the pillows to go inside and then tried to make a pattern out of white paper. AAAHHH! How hard can it be to draw straight lines on a piece of paper, but somehow there were always centimeters missing in all areas. Well, I got there in the end.
Before stitching it all together I also tried my hands on a appliqued done with the machine.
The idea is from the book Embellish your T-shirt by Katie Cole. WOW! That takes some serious thread
.
And this is how it looks finished.
Stitched it up all nicely from the inside with added zig zag … and where did it all go wrong? When I finished and turned the inside out I noticed …
AAAAAAHHHHH! I put the closure the wrong way round. Oh you swine!
All this work and then this. Well, there are far to many stitches to open again and it would be a waste of thread so I leave it as it is. My daughter still slept on it all night never mind which way round the closure is. I know better for the next pillow. I might make one for myself later without the picture. It really is a cuddly soft blanked. Sorry! WAS a cuddly soft blanked
.
